For those who were unable to join us for our last garden meeting, we
wanted to share the results of the garden soil test we did several weeks ago ~
pH
= 7.0
phosphorus = sufficient
potash = sufficient
nitrogen = deficient
The interpretation for these results is that nitrogen is the only nutrient
that needs replacing and this is common.
If you're interested, here is a great link with specific advice on when and how
much nitrogen to apply from the Colorado extension service ~ https://extension.colostate.edu/topic-areas/yard-garden/fertilizing-the-vegetable-garden-7-611/
and a link from the U of Vermont extension with some useful information on soil pH ~ http://pss.uvm.edu/ppp/pubs/oh34.htm.
